The Choral Society presented a "love offering" to First Presbyterian for the Pedal Power Ministry in the amount of $750.00 along with 4 new and used bicycles in honor for hosting the Choral Society in their sanctuary. The funds were given by individual choir members in the society. The Pedal Power ministry is an all-volunteer church and community organization at First Presbyterian. For the past18 years, Pedal Power has given free bicycles and helmets to children and adults who have fallen on hard times. They operate strictly on financial and bicycle donations. The Pedal Power ministry currently serves over 120 non-profit agencies in Central and Western Florida. They were presented the 2019 program of the year by the Florida State Bicycling Association. Their volunteer team includes 7 certified bicycle helmet fitters that have provided hungered of free bike helmets to promote bicycle safety In Florida. In 2025 alone, they gave away 730 bicycles!
Presenting the offering was Shing Palagano (President), Jordan Mistretta (Treasurer). Receiving the offering was Reverend Dr. Zac McGowen (Outreach Pastor for First Presbyterian). 5/3/26 Comments are closed.
