Kara Stacy Bedwell explained her piece to us and how she wrote it. We listened to a recording of the piece and then began to workshop the piece below.


Persephone Gone

• Listened to a recording of song
• Has a driving tempo - constant motion/storytelling

• Sight read through entire piece
• Emphasize down bets

• M31-m32 decrescendo to mp

• M59 underline lands, ra of declaration, dull and dry - emphasis the the words

• M72 keep energy while staying light
• Watch break in m87
• Pg 4 m15 - Altos notes should be B/C#/B (triplet)
• Bass should be B/C#/B (triplet)

• M16 end build with each phrase!
• We will send a recording out ASAP

• sang the solfege we wrote in last week
• Started on pg 2 m-6-m23
• Sang through whole piece
