Lakeland Choral Society
Celebrating our 42nd season

Becoming a Member

For over 40 years, Lakeland Choral Society has been performing varied choral works, including John Rutter's Requiem under his direction at Carnegie Hall and performing a commissioned work by Paul Balser, one of the most well-respected and performed modern-day composers of our era. We have been invited to sing with the Imperial Symphony Orchestra on several occasions and will be performing with them in their December 2009 concert. In addition, Lakeland Choral Society has participated in the Alta Pusteria Choral Festival in northern Italy and is planning a tour to Ireland in the summer of 2010.

We are an auditioned SATB choral group that rehearses under the tutelage of Dr. Larry Sledge, former Director of Choral Studies at Florida Southern College. Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings from 7 to 9 pm on the Florida Southern College campus in the choral room behind Branscomb Auditorium. Tax deductible dues are $50 for the entire season and include music, which is provided at no additional cost.

If you are interested in joining our group, please click here to download a registration form and then click the contact us button to let us know of your interest, and we will be in touch with you to set up an audition.
