About the Director
Regina Register
Regina Arndt Register has been a music educator in Polk County schools for 36+ years, and has loved being a ‘Lakelander’ since she was 10 years old. Lakeland’s thriving fine arts community has provided a rich platform of creative events to display choral performance. Her primary education focus was instructing students in choral and piano performance. She fostered award-winning performing groups in elementary, middle and high school. She was the music director for Youth at Theatre Winter Haven for several seasons. In addition, she set her own feet on the Theatre Winter Haven stage in several musical theatre productions over the years.
Regina received her Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Florida Southern College, and had the opportunity to study with the celebrated and world-renowned pianist, Dr. Robert McDonald. Regina also holds a Masters of Arts degree in Guidance and Counseling from Webster University, and spent four years working with high school students and their families as a guidance counselor.
One of Regina’s greatest joys in teaching came from challenging students to refine their music performances and share in their excitement as they realized their creative performance power. Her passion for Choral music performance and travel has led to multiple opportunities for her choirs to perform in many prestigious music events and festivals around the country. Some of the highlights include: The 2000 America Sings! Music Festival; 2007 Cherry Blossom Festival; 2012 National Cathedral Chamber Choral Series in Washington, D.C., multiple invitations to perform as an Honor Choir in Disney’s Candlelight Processional Program, Orlando, FL., Celebrate Music! Festival in Williamsburg Square, VA., and most recently, Carnegie Hall Multicultural Youth Festival, in New York City, with Grammy Award winning director, Dr. Jeffery Redding.
As an educator, Regina was named Teacher of the Year twice at two different schools and was also co-recipient of a Regional Economics Award for an original school-wide project that merged music, economics, and community specialists. She is a member of the Florida Music Educators Association, Florida Vocal Association and the National Association for Music Education. In 2023, Regina was awarded the A+ Teacher Award on Spectrum News (Bay News 9).
Currently, Regina enjoys consult choral work with choirs in local counties, and continues a successful piano and voice studio.

About the Accompanist
Sarah Lenhart
Sarah Lenhart grew up just outside Atlantic City, New Jersey. She attended West Chester University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance and later moved to Lakeland in 2007. She is currently in her 19th year as the Choral Director at Lake Gibson High School in North Lakeland. She has also developed a private studio for voice and piano students.
Sarah has become very involved with music directing and playing in productions at local community theatres throughout Central Florida. She has also been a collaborative pianist for local high schools, Polk County’s All County Senior High Chorus, as well Theatre Winter Haven’s Community Choir. She is particularly excited to work with Regina Register and the Lakeland Choral Society this season!
In her spare time, she can be found gardening, running half marathons, and spending time with her family and two pugs Bella Vida and Molly Magoo. She would also like to thank her boyfriend, Rich, and her family for always supporting her (and for paying for years of piano lessons- thanks Dad).
