Special recognitions

On May 5, 2024 at the Spring Concert two of our board members were recognized for their immense contributions to not just the Lakeland Choral Society but also to our greater- Lakeland community.  The first person recognized was the current scholarship chair, Beverly Stokem.  Beverly has been a member of the choir for almost three decades and a board of director for many of those years.  She has served in many different capacities and has been instrumental creating a partnership between the Lakeland Choral Society and the Polk Education Foundation to provide scholarships to high school seniors.  
The second person that the Board of Directors recognized was Nick Geraci.  Nick has been the president of Lakeland Choral Society for the past 2 years and has played an instrumental role in the revitalization of the Lakeland Choral Society, and helping our organization recover post-Covid.  Nick has fearlessly led the restructuring of operations for the Society by working tirelessly behind the scenes, which in turn, will ensure that the Lakeland Choral Society will be able to continue our Mission and Vision for generations to come.
